BMW 4 Series to be reveled on 2 June

- will launch new iteration of BMW's kidney grill

- Will come to India under the cover of M4

BMW is on a roll. Last week, the Bavarian carmaker revealed the 5 Series and 6 Series facelifts with plug-in hybrids for the X2, and also updated the entire line-up for the May 2020. And to cap it off, on June 2, BMW will take the rap for the multi-spoke 4 Series coupe with its controversial massive grille.

BMW 3 Series Exteriors
First previewed as the Concept i4, the new 4 Series Coupe will not have just one 3 Series with two fewer doors. Instead, BMW has also revamped the new 4 Coupe to be sportier and more driver-focused. It will wear a pair of sleek-like headlamps and 8 Series of taillamps, emphasizing its two-door nature. In profile, we can see that the sloping roof is deeper than the slope. On the inside, however, things will be familiar in a typical BMW fashion.

Compared to the sedan, the 4 Coupe sits on 57 mm less ground and has a claimed coefficient of up to only 0.015. The power will come from the same set of engine options that you get in the 3 Series. The M440i is also reportedly getting a light-hybrid system. Otherwise, four-cylinder and larger straight-six engines will be on offer as usual until a fully developed M4 arrives. The M4 is expected to break the 500bhp mark and may adopt an all-wheel-drive layout for the first time.

BMW 3 Series Exteriors
In addition to the 4 Series coupe, BMW may or may not reveal the 4 Series convertible. Or it will be revealed separately at a later date with the 4 Series Gran Coupe. And for the first time, the family joining the 4 Series will be an all-electric i4, but it may arrive in 2022. The Indian launch of the 4 Series coupe may be under the guise of the M4 itself, but we can expect a standard model to be introduced. Too.
