New BMW 5 series bacome hybrid and comes with 48V motor.

It has come with 5 New colour options

BMW unveiled it's new and more stylish 5 Series sedan on its digital platform. The mid-life update for the mid-size executive sedan features twisted styling, updated equipment on the inside, and new hybrid powertrain options. The 6 Series GT has also been updated with the 5 Series.

In terms of style, the modified fascia gets redesigned headlamps with an L-shaped light signature. The grille is rotated and is slightly longer and wider, but thankfully it has not grown in size, as on the 7 Series facelift.

The smoked finish tail lamp at the rear looks sporty with the revered bumper design.

The new 5 sits on BMW's new Individual Air Performance Wheels and also gets five new paint schemes. Inside, the familiar cabin remains

Unchanged. However, the floating infotainment system is now integrated with the latest iDrive 7 operating system. In addition, new connectivity options are also part of the update such as remote navigation and OTA updates.

Additionally, there is something called a 'drive recorder' feature that can record up to 40 seconds of video footage from points around the vehicle.

New additions to powertrain options include a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Available for both four and six cylinder engines, this lightweight-hybrid system gets a bump of around 8bhp over the standard model. The plug-in hybrid line-up has also been expanded to five and each model also gets increased power output. And the common set of petrol and diesel engine options are completed without any changes. The more powerful M5 will soon join the line-up.

The new and updated BMW 5 Series will first go on sale in the European market with delivery starting in July. The Indian debut can be expected by the end of this year or in 2021. The new 5 Series prefers the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which has also recently received the Audi A6 and the upcoming Jaguar XF facelift.
